Urban planning, highways, and public facility construction have increasingly stringent requirements for power equipment. In developed countries like Europe, the United States, and Japan, transformers are gradually being installed underground in line with urban ecological concepts.

 

The prefabricated underground box-type substation is a newly designed power equipment solution developed to meet the needs of these areas. It mainly consists of an underground transformer, a prefabricated underground pit, and advertising lightbox-style outdoor switchgear. The prefabricated underground transformer combines a transformer, high-voltage load switch, and fuse into a compact new type of substation equipment. It is installed in a prefabricated underground pit, occupying no surface space and capable of operating submerged in water for more than 90 days. The advertising lightbox-style outdoor switchgear is a hybrid structure that integrates an advertising display with outdoor switchgear. The outdoor high and low voltage distribution cabinets are housed inside the ground-level box, while the surface functions as an advertising lightbox, offering excellent visual appeal.

 

The prefabricated underground box-type substation aligns with urban ecological design principles, occupies minimal land area, and enhances the environment. It is suitable for main urban roads, residential communities, airports, stations, highways, and other locations. It is poised to become the preferred equipment for upgrading urban distribution networks.
